I bought this a few months back. When it arrived, there were some small issues with the fit and finish that I initially overlooked —- a small indent on the fretboard and some ridiculous toolmarks on the neck binding. Probably should have returned it, but it played nicely so I ignored them. That was dumb. The closer I looked, the more problems I noticed. The fretboard was dried… read more out and cracking, the pore filler in the neck was sloppy and not dyed correctly, there was a dowel used to fill in a hole in the neck, stuff that was just really ugly for a very expensive guitar with no case. The sweetwater guys are great and have offered to swap it for another one (which I will), but the finish flaws are kind of a joke. This should have been a B stock. The guitar sounds excellent, and it's super versatile (I've been using it as a baritone and to play surf music!), but I wouldn't buy another Jackson after seeing this up close. Certainly not for this price.
