Very Decent Soundhole Pickup

I used the pickup in a 4" hole, old Takamine acoustic. The tone is really nice. Plus I run it through a custom patch on the Zoom G6, which allows even further tonal adjustments. You do lose a little bit of the natural acoustics of the instrument, when compared to a miked config, but that's to be expected. My only complaint is that I had to back out the pole pieces quite a bit… read more to get any significant gain. Not a big deal, but it makes me wonder about the other models that don't have adjustable pole pieces. So, it turns out this model was the best choice.
