Yamaha FCS - TA TransAcoustic Ruby Red
Well today I got the guitar I'd been waitin' on, my new Yamaha FCS-TA TransAcoustic Ruby Red. It's a beautiful cardinal red single cutaway that's strung with 12-53 Elixirs. As most Yamahas do, it plays very well with ease on the neck & fretboard. But the aspect that sets this instrument apart from most others is there's an actuator inside that magnifies the reverb & chorus of the… read more guitar itself. It requires 2 AA batteries (which is great because 9 volts are more expensive) & the effects are outstanding with or without an amp. I's blown away by this guitar (played well right out of the box) & highly recommend it to any player that wants to add presence & harmony to their guitar playin' without adding pedals. This & my Taylor T5Z Pro are now my go to guitars. For only about $ + tax you get a great, well made guitar that matches up to & surpasses many higher priced instruments that don't have these effects built in. I would've liked an onboard tuner but I can always clip one on right? This is an acoustic game changer in my opinion & so far, after only one day, I feel my money's well spent.
