G&L hits it out of the park!
This bass is a monster. Is my 5th G&L. I bought it for the .75 string spacing. Man does this thing deliver! Thunderous tone and feels oh so good, of course, it came perfectly setup from Sweetwater and arrived 2 days after purchase. I highly recommend this beast! And I would recommend getting it from Sweetwater. They do a hell of a job!
A player’s bass
I took a gamble on this one- glad I did. I've been a pocket player for over 30 years ( rock, r&b, funk, country, worship). I've had various bases over the years. For the past 3 years, I've stuck with a US Fender P5, which has worked out great (going from country band every fri, sat- then to church bands on Sunday- it sits in the mix well), but I was looking for something with… read more a little extra edge/ bite. I chose the series 750 because of string spacing, wide neck- it has a flat c shape neck- it's a beast/ heavy at 10.1 lbs. it's an incredibly versatile tone wise- it's very easy to get a great sound. I won't give any preferred settings- just close your eyes & starting twisting knobs & flip some switches -you can find your desired tone in about 10 seconds. All notes come out even- the b string is nice & tight- it's comfortable to play. I like it. I'll probably play it for quite a while. Ruby red metallic looks cool under the lights…
