Best bass I have ever owned. Absolutely perfect. Neck plays like a dream and pickups are outstanding. I have played several 5 strings in the past and never really bonded with them. I guess I'm a rickenbacker guy after all.

For my bass playing son Max and me, his Rickenbacker 4003S/5 Mapleglo through an MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe Pedal into his Fender Rumble is indeed "The Holy Grail" of bass sound! New sound for an old classic

This bass has a completely new look and a completely new sound. I'm quite a fan of this modern take on an old classic. My rep, Kevin Spunde, is a bass genius and was able to allow a pro player feel secure purchasing a bass I've never played. I cannot recommend Kevin highly enough
